Our kitchen functions as both American and English. Tonight our menu for dinner is crispy roasted whole chicken, baked potatoes, and leeks with White Sauce. If any of you aren’t familiar with white sauce, it is featured above. You should try it at least once in your life if you haven’t already. It’s delicious and creamy. Best in my opinion on vegetables. Anyway of the back of the packet, it instructs you to add a 1/2 pint of milk in the dry sauce in a pan and heat until it thickens. I’ve never done white sauce by myself so I wasn’t sure how many cups a half pint is. Well, glad to tell you a half pint is equal to a cup.
